The opening of the season 07-08, Euro Cup, at Tampere

The new competition season starts with a home competition, as the 2nd Euro Cup will take place at Metro-Auto Arena at Tampere. The audience will be served a two-hour treat of Taekwon-Do in a final gala on Saturday evening, when the finals of the most interesting divisions will be competed starting at 6pm and ending at about 8pm.

Since the previous season was long and the World Championships required lots of energy from the top athletes, it's not difficult to predict that a competition in such early state will be a place for most of them to test their current condition. That's at least how it is in my case. No special lightening of training will be done for Euro Cup, but I'll get in to see what's the condition of my collagues and how my head works in front of home crowd. After a moderate summer the trainings have been going on pretty well for some time now and the level has been ascending. Therefore I'll get in the Euro Cup interested in seeing how it'll be and of course to give good performances. I don't have any special goal for results but of course it's so that everytime you enter the ring the idea is to leave it as the winner. However, it's good to remember that the main goal of the season - the European Championships - are still over 6 months away and a single victory or loss at this point is rahter insignificant thinking about that goal.
